Detective Dan Skok, an ace investigator from the Missing Persons Bureau, arrives at the Gray household to find their son Paul Ryan Gray, age 7, missing. Immediately, Skok and his team move into the garage of the home, set up their headquarters, and begin searching. Soon, Mr. and Mrs. Gray are subjected to the absurd and strange investigative techniques of Det. Skok, culminating in their home being covered in missing posters. After Skok finds Paul in the laundry room, he cannot bring himself to close the books on what may be his final case.
