"Ava, a young woman with Amnesia, is encouraged by her husband Frank, to stay at home until she recovers.Ava’s everyday life revolves around domestic house chores & pleasing Frank’s wishes. But Frank has a short temper especially when the subject of a locked door in the house is mentioned.Ava’s memory comes back, in a series of nightmares of her being chased in a wood and by a masked man. Over the course of six days, Frank treats Ava progressively worse and worse, through infidelity, coercion and physical abuse.Finally Ava decides to leave, but the locked door is open. It leads to a cellar, inside an electric chair, wiring and an computer. Ava plays a video on the computer, showing Frank making Ava. She’s a robot.Frank surprises Ava, reveals she’s not human. She was made to look like his deceased wife, who died 10 years ago in a wood being chased by Frank.Ava wants to be free, Frank says no, intending to kill her. Ava fights back, killing Frank before escaping to a new life."
