While running a noodle shop and struggling to earn extra for an accident involving his daughter, LIM Deok-kyu accepts an invitation to a reality show. On the set, he runs into an old high school friend Jae-suk, who is now a gang member. A moment of bad luck derailed Deok-kyu’s Olympic dreams years before, and led him finally jail with his friends. Jin-ho got out of jail quickly because of his rich parents, but Deok-kyu, Jae-suk, and Sang-hoon fell with gang member Yong-chul in tragic and fatal results. Years later Sang-hoon works for Jin-ho, president at a large corporation. To quiet a news story about Jin-ho’s past, Sang-hoon accepts an invitation to appear on the same show: “Fist of Legend”, a televised survival tournament. When a competitor tries to buy off Deok-kyu for $50,000, his daughter’s unconditional support and Sang-hoon’s efforts to fight even with injuries inspire Deok-kyu to fight with honor right up to the finals.
