Rudi is a high-flying manager we see him smiling confidently as he accepts an award at a prize ceremony for managerial performance. He has made a career for himself that his parents, his wife and his young daughter can be proud of. His brother Daniel, in contrast, is a struggling actor; he comes to Rudi’s party to congratulate him, but at first the doorman refuses to admit Daniel – he looks completely out of place in this world of glamour and success.In his jovial, patronizing manner Rudi offers his brother Daniel a job: Nora Windisch, a promising IT expert in his software company, needs some voice coaching to improve her confidence and communication skills for important presentations. It's a chance for Daniel to earn €2000 in a short time, and he would certainly be able to do the work easily. But he's not interested. A true artist doesn’t prostitute himself for money, although this doesn't prevent Daniel from asking his father for financial support when times are tough. His principles don't extend that far...
