Synopsis
France, 1640. Maitre Pompignac, a lawyer, has never managed to win a case: all his clients are dead, either disembowelled, impaled or scalded... One day, a young woman comes to him and asks him to defend an innocent girl: Roxane, aged 11, wrongly accused of killing a Marshal of France. Pompignac accepts, without realising that, although Roxane is not an 11-year-old child, she is in fact a goat... Because yes, for 150 years in France, animals, like humans, had the right to a court trial with a lawyer, judge and jury... Caught in a trap, he can't back down - he's already the one who's never saved a single one of his clients, and he doesn't want to become the one who can't even save a goat! This time, he has to win, no matter what it takes...
