Remsk and Sarah are a neurotic, passionate couple. He is a struggling writer who carries the weight of the world on his shoulders; she is mentally unstable and addicted to weed. Bill is an actor with an ego while Nicky constantly sucks up to her husband. At a party in Antwerp, Remsk was so drunk that he invited Bill and Nicky to join them on their vacation in Provence where his father owns a villa, assuming they would never come. Then Bill calls Remsk to say they are on their way.
