Although it is Sunday and election day, Salvador wakes up very early and begins to work on his land as any other day. He is a humble and quiet farmer, who pays no attention to the hustle and bustle formed in town around the tough elections for Mayor going on that day. However, he is forced to change his routine abruptly: during the previous night someone had broken into his land and dumped several corpses piled on top of each other in the middle of his crops. Salvador, worried and angry, hurries to town to report the massacre, but the Mayor and the Police Captain decide not to tell anyone or turn on any alarms so it won’t disturb the elections. Once they reach Salvador’s land and see the grotesque situation, they realize that they’re on the verge of a huge public scandal that, if revealed on that particular day, would translate to certain political suicide. The three men now face several long and hot hours ahead of them before deciding what to do with the mountain of dead people. Meanwhile, the mosquitoes, the cell phone, the rumored news, the wrath of a landowner and a human rights commission, will add stress to the situation and buzz in their ears all day long.
