Ana, a single mother who trained as an artist, lives in Madrid with seven-year-old Sonia. She has been struggling professionally and emotionally since her break-up. When Sonia starts to identify as a boy, now called Son, relations within their fragmented family become increasingly tense. As she accompanies Son on his path to a new identity, Ana comes to realise that she too must spark change in her own life. To reconnect with the confident person she once was, Ana must rediscover herself as a mother, an artist and a woman.
