Following the death of his ex wife, Tom, a struggling stand-up comedian must take care of his son Gaby. Loving but carefree, Tom nearly misses Gaby’s birthday and ends up buying at the very last minute a random notebook. To cheer him up, he comes up with a lie: the book is magic and once a day can make Gaby’s wishes come true.
