Struck by his talent and convinced he could become the posterchild of redemption, Mailer pushes for Abbott’s release. And with his help, Abbott quickly becomes the literary “it boy” of New York City. His rise, however, ends with a crashing fall in this true story that leaves us questioning who are the heroes and who are the villains.
