Pretty but mannish and dynamic Makie (Karina) is a manager of a flower shop. She has been without a boyfriend for 1 year and 11months. An animation script writer, Yoshiharu (Kei Tanaka), is innocent and gentle-minded but clumsy. He meets again with Makie after 17 years and falls in love with her. The slowly developing relationship between Makie and Yoshiharu is watched over tenderly and sometimes jeeringly by Ryoko (Kie Kitano), a part-time worker at the flower shop but with another identity as a cabaret girl, and Nishijima (Atsuro Watanabe), a popular voice actor and a divorcee, who wants to get closer to Ryoko.
