The story starts when Kyohei Nagashima who has closed his mind after an event at high school happens to start working as a house cleaner for people who passed away alone. Despite his indifference about the job, society, or even life itself at the beginning, he gradually learns the meaning of life through facing life and death while cleaning houses where the dead used to live and where tons of belongings from their lives are left.
