16 year old Mei Tachibana has never had a friend, much less a boyfriend. One day Mei accidently hurts Yamato Kurosawa, the most popular boy at school. Yamato is immediately attracted to Mei, and soon declares that he wants to be her friend. Later, to save Mei from an embarrassing situation, he roundly kisses her.
