Following the death of his father, 30 years-old, Nick leaves the provincial town he’s been living and brings himself to Athens. He temporarily stays with his father’s brother, Alekos and his wife Gogo, who are having troubles in their marriage. Alekos, owns a cellar in the slums of a degraded Athenian province, and offers his nephew, under regular pay, the invidious task of keeping his favorite dogs, Dobermans. Arrogant Nick, penniless and a loser, accepts the offer, even though he finds the job demeaning, mostly because he falls in love with Gogo. Nick represents for her the love she never knew and the chance she’s been looking for. Their affair will escalate once they decide to take Alekos off the picture. The plan is simple; make it appear like a murder during a robbery. After Nick commits the act, he collapses completely. Several months later, when Gogo goes to the hotel he has been staying in hiding, she will discover a changed man...
