In Capão Redondo, one of the most violent neighborhoods in Brazil, you see a love which is born hidden and grows forbidden inside Rael, a 19 year-old honest guy. Based on the book by Ferréz, the melodrama is shaken when he falls in love with Paula, girlfriend of Matcherros, his best friend. If in a posh neighborhood stealing a friend's girlfriend is frowned upon, in Capão Redondo it can be a death sentence. But love cannot be controlled, and Rael manages to circumvent the danger and begins a new life with Paula. “Not even Jesus has escaped from treachery”, goes the favela saying. And Rael has taken the risk of not escaping.
