Karin (Maren Kroymann) spend a year in New Zealand to work as a granny au pair. Now she is back in Germany with her husband Harald (Günther Maria Halmer) and can hardly believe her eyes: Could it be that she has simply been replaced by the widow Sigrid during her absence? Without further ado, she decides to take over the management of the school store "Schlüsselkinder" together with her friends Philippa (Barbara Sukowa) and Gerhard (Heiner Lauterbach); maybe this will give her a change of heart.
