Ten years ago Aiden Hakansson's wife and daughter were kidnapped and killed in Italy during an unsuccessful prisoner exchange for a never fully clarified incident. Since then, Aiden has returned to live in the United States, isolated himself from the rest of the world and rebuilt his life by marrying a new woman. But every night he wakes up overwhelmed by memories and nightmares. When he had lost any hope, he receives a phone call from Italy from a person who asks him to meet and give him decisive information on the killing of his ex-wife and daughter. He does not hesitate for a moment and goes to Italy, in Taranto: now his only goal is to prepare for the moment when he can take revenge. Once he arrives, he soon discovers that behind the accident that cost his family their lives, lies a game of criminal power and corruption in the local police. Thus, he begins his very personal hunt for the guilty and the discovery of unexpected truths that will lead him step by step to consume his own revenge.
